At Laughter Yoga Academy, we offer the following training Accredited with Laughter Yoga International:

Your first step to learning about Laughter Yoga in a Professional setting, for personal or non-professional use, is the 1-Day Certified Basic Learning Course.  This course is also the pre-requisite for the 2-day Laughter Yoga Leader training.

Certified 1-Day Laughter Yoga Basic Learning Course

A fun-filled introduction to the science, practice and application of Laughter Yoga for self, family & friends and other non-professional use.

If you wish to teach Laughter Yoga to paying clients, you may progress to the 2-day Laughter Yoga Leader Training on completion of this 1-day Basic Learning Course.

Pre-requisites:  A willingness to laugh for no reason.

€150 for 1 day / 7 hours in-person training.  Includes workshop manual and Certificate of Completion from Laughter Yoga Academy..

For those who wish to take Laughter Yoga to the next level, and work as a Laughter Yoga Professional with paying clients, the next step is the 2-day Certified Laughter Yoga Leader Training.

Certified 2-Day Laughter Yoga Leader Training

You will receive 2 certificates – Certificate of Completion from Dr Madan Kataria and Laughter Yoga International and Certificate of Completion from Laughter Yoga Academy.

You will also be registered as an International Laughter Yoga Leader with Dr K’s Laughter Yoga International website directory.

Pre-requisites:  Completion of the Laughter Yoga Basic Learning Course

Delivery Mode:  In-person 2-day weekend training at our Nature retreat centre commencing on Friday evening at 8pm.  Accommodation is available on a first-booked basis.

Format

40% theory and 60% activities.

1 in-person session of 2 hours, 4 in-person sessions of 3.5 hours Total in-person 16 hours

plus 1 final session of 1,5 hours on Zoom, 40 days after completion of the weekend.

Fee

€350 for the 2-days / 16 hours training.  Includes workshop manual, Certificate of Completion from Dr. Kataria and Laughter Yoga International and your Registration with Laughter Yoga University and listing on the Laughter Yoga International website .

Introductions: Teacher, Participants, and course.   Personal story.

  • Laughter Yoga History:  Cousins, Fry, Berk, Patch Adams, Madan & Madhuri Kataria
  • What is Laughter Yoga? 5 points, 3 reasons, 4 steps, and 5 benefits
  • Key session: Warm-up, Basic laughter, Laughing meditation, Humming
  • Laughing Alone: How, when, where, about the 40 days Laughter Challenge, Buddy system
  • Assignment:  Laugh every day for 5 minutes and create a short video about what LY is and share in the group

  • Laughter yoga – the Science of breathing
  • Scientific research on Laughter Yoga
  • Complete Session:  4 steps, Laughter and games, Laughing meditation, Yoga Nidra
  • Assignment:  Laugh every day for 5 minutes and 1 minute a day with laughter buddy.
    Create a new laughter exercise and share in the group

Session 3

Feedback

  • Unconditional Laughter 5 secrets
  • Session Structure – leader skills – advice & tips to facilitate laughter yoga classes
  • Laughter Club: How it works, how to start it and why
  • Complete session: 4 steps, laughter and games, laughing meditation, grounding dance
  • Assignment: laugh every day for 10 minutes and 1 minute a day with laughter buddy.
    Create a new laughter yoga exercise and share in the group.

Session 4

Feedback

  • Gibberish
  • Extra: 9 Factors of Happiness
  • Extra: introduction to chakras
  • Laughter Yoga in corporate environment
  • Laughter Yoga with old people and with children

Assignment: Laugh every day for 10 minutes for 40 days and 1 minute a day with laughter buddy.

Session 5

40 days later – this is the only session on Zoom.

Certified 2-day Laughter Yoga Leader Training

You will receive 2 certificates – Certificate of Completion from Dr Madan Kataria and Laughter Yoga International and Certificate of Completion from Laughter Yoga Academy.

For those who wish to take their Laughter Yoga further and work with groups of paying clients., the next step is 16 hours Certified Laughter Yoga Leader Training.
